Tazhe Cooper

President of Young Urban Leadership Program

Tazhe Cooper is a first year student here at West Chester University. He is an Early Grades/Special Education Major. He is a resident of the city of Philadelphia and an alumni of Furness High School. Throughout his high school career he received a number of awards including: Principals Honors, Bi Lingual Award, District First Senior of the Year Award, Counselor Award, and Good Citizenship Award. He is apart of two wonderful organizations: White Williams Scholars and RHA (Resident Housing Association at West Chester University). He graduated with a 3.7 A- GPA ranking number eleven in his graduating class. His career aspirations is to become a Superintendent of a school district. His advice to future students is to stay focused and get involved.

Johnathan Moore

Vice President of Young Urban Leaders Program

Johnathon Moore is a first year student hear at West Chester University majoring in Middle Grade Math and Special Education. Johnathon is an alumni of Scotland School for Veterans Children. Johnathon was an active student at his high school. He was a RA, a mentor for Big Brother & Little Brother, a member of JROTC. He participated a number of sports including: basketball, track and field, and also cross country. While attending Scotland Johnathon  realized the importance of education. His teachers played a significant role in his education. He graduated with honor, and intends on graduating college with honors as well.
